Simply the Best ist ein Kompilationsalbum von Tina Turner. Es erschien im Oktober 1991 bei Capitol Records. Das Album erreichte Platz 4 in Deutschland , Platz 2 in Großbritannien, Platz 3 in der Schweiz, Platz 8 in Österreich sowie Platz 113 in den USA.

Simply the Best fasste die größten Hits von Tina Turner seit ihrem Comeback in den 1980ern zusammen und bot zudem einige neue Songs. Darunter waren als zwischen 1991 und 1992 ausgekoppelte Singles Love Thing (UK Airplay Charts Platz 13), I Want You Near Me (Platz 22 in Großbritannien) und Way of the World (UK Airplay Charts Platz 6 und Platz 13 der Single-Charts). Auch eine Dance-Version von Turners Hit Nutbush City Limits gehörte dazu. Das Album ist das in Großbritannien meistverkaufte von Turner – es zählt dort mit 2,1 Millionen verkauften Exemplaren zu den bestverkauften aller Zeiten. Es bekam dort 8-fach-Platin und blieb 140 Wochen in den Charts. Weltweit wurden über 7 Millionen Kopien abgesetzt

In den USA erschien das Album mit einer etwas abgewandelten Titelliste. Dort wurden Addicted to Love (Live) und Be Tender With Me Baby durch What You Get Is What You See und Look Me in the Heart ersetzt. In Australien erschien eine Limited Edition mit einer zusätzlichen Bonusdisk. Dort wurde eine Version von The Best im Duett mit Jimmy Barnes ausgekoppelt. Der Titel der Kompilation ist auch dem Refrain von The Best entnommen.
